Disclaimer: Hey, if I owned it? The three would all be canon.
Author's Notes: I… don’t even remember writing this.
Fraternization was supposedly forbidden—if not by the Army, then by Margaret and, theoretically, Frank. Since they were out of uniform together whenever they had free time, though, nobody enforced that. Henry had the adoring Leslie who was—amazingly—interested in fishing. Hawkeye and Trapper chased the rest of the nurses and regularly propositioned Margaret—something that surprisingly never resulted in a slap in the face.
But those were just warm bodies to get through lonely nights. After the first supposed cease-fire, the nurses had no illusions about Hawkeye settling down or Trapper leaving his wife—they just wanted company.
There were only three real pairs of lovers in camp. Everyone flirted around, and some even slept around, but three pairs could be counted on to come back together. The lovers were a constant, just like Frank and Margaret going over Henry’s head or Hawkeye and Trapper getting drunk at every opportunity.
